Swept Aside: Human Rights Abuses at Kinross's Moro do Ourro Mine in Brazil

As we heard in the LUPC Hearing testimony in Millinocket, Wolfden Resources is planning on getting rezoning from the LUPC before being taken over by one of the largest mining companies in the world--Kinross Gold. Already Kinross is one of Wolfden's largest investors, along with Altius Minerals and Equinox Partners Investment Management. It just so happens that being one of the largest gold mining companies in the world means that there is no shortage of examples of environmental and human rights abuses--mining is a dirty business.

This study documents the abuses of Kinross at the Moro do Ourro Mine in Brazil. We don't support mining in Maine or in Brazil or anywhere else. We support recycling, reusing, mining metals from landfills, and transitioning back to the natural materials that have served us for millennia. Read more about Kinross HERE!
